When will it arrive?
When you choose a delivery method we will
advise you of an estimate of the arrival date. This estimate
takes into account whether each item is in stock, the delivery time to your
destination, and weekends. For example, if you order 10 X door knob sets which
are in stock
on a Monday, and you want them sent by Fastway Couriers to a regional Australian address,
it will take: 2(courier)
+ 0(in stock) + 0(no weekends) + 0(before 3pm) = 2 days (Wednesday).
Due to shipping deadlines, orders received
after 3:00 pm cannot be sent until the following business day.
Product availability and its effect
on shipping We
have our own large warehoused inventory of items. This allows us to provide our
customers with a timely and convenient delivery service.
If a product is shown as being "in
stock", it
is in our warehouse and ready for immediate delivery. If a product is shown as
being out of stock, we will estimate how long it will take for us to get it into
stock. You may still purchase the product, but delivery will be delayed by that
length of time required to refresh our stock shelves. This is usually between 2
and 10 days depending on many varied factors.
Where is my parcel?
Internationally couriered deliveries can be
tracked,
so you can see when your parcel has left our warehouse, and at each stage of its
journey. And
if your delivery is delayed in leaving our warehouse, we'll notify you
immediately.
Time of arrival
Courier services generally deliver to most
Australian cities and regional centres before 10:30 am to business
addresses, and between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm for residential addresses.
Face-to-face delivery to our customers
is always our preferred option, so we suggest that you specify a delivery
address where you are confident that you will be present or where someone can
accept the delivery on your behalf (e.g. at work).
If you are not at home at the time of
delivery, we will leave you a card stating that your order is available for
pick-up from the local post office. Standard
deliveries will arrive with the usual Australia Post mail service in your area.
How much will it cost?
We will calculate the actual delivery charges for your order at the time the shipment is
weighed and wrapped. The
costs may be a little more or less than the estimate but the actual cost will be
charged. Generally we do not charge for packaging. For estimating purposes
a pair of door knobs in a set are roughly 600 gm to 1 Kg which includes the outer packaging. Obviously some will be lighter than others.
Insurance. You are well advised to insure your
purchases during transit. Standard Australia Post requires its parcels to
be Registered if insurance is required. In addition their Insurance costs
AUD $3.00 plus $2 per $100 cover to a maximum of $5,000 cover. The Australian
Express Parcel Post service packages cannot be insured. International
Couriers have varying charges between 55 cents/$100 and 1.5% with a minimum of
$15.00 fee. It depends on the courier service. Please advise us if
you require your parcels to be insured.
Local GST Tax
will apply to delivery charges to Australian mainland destinations.
This is not included above.
